Sadie Frost
Born in London on 19 June 1965, Sadie Frost is an English actress, producer, and fashion designer with a career spanning more than three decades of British and international film.
Early Career and Breakthrough
Frost made her film debut in Empire State in 1987, quickly establishing herself as a compelling presence in British cinema. Her early credits included The Krays (1990), in which she played Sharon Pellam, a film that itself became a landmark of British gangster cinema. She followed this with Diamond Skulls (also known as Dark Obsession) in 1989, demonstrating an early appetite for edgy, challenging material.
International Recognition
Her most high-profile role came with Francis Ford Coppola’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992), in which she played Lucy Westenra. The film brought her to a global audience and remains one of her most celebrated performances. She continued to work consistently through the 1990s, appearing in Shopping (1994) as Jo, A Pyromaniac’s Love Story (1995), Flypaper (1997), and Final Cut (1998).
A Career Built on British Indie Film
Frost has long been associated with independent British filmmaking, a thread that runs throughout her career. Further credits include Captain Jack (1999), Love, Honour and Obey (2000), and Uprising (2001), in which she portrayed Ziviah Lubetkin. More recently, she appeared in Beyond the Rave (2008), Molly Moon and the Incredible Book of Hypnotism (2015) as Mrs. Alabaster, Killers Anonymous (2019), Waiting for Anya (2020) as Madame Jollet, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie (2016), and A Bird Flew In (2021).

Alongside her acting work, Frost has pursued a career as a producer and has run the Frost French fashion label. She has also worked in interior design, having designed kitchens for a residential development in the East End of London.
