About

Nick Love’s follow-up to The Football Factory, set in Marbella in the mid-1980s. Danny Dyer plays Frankie, a young Londoner sent to Spain to deliver a package and pulled into the orbit of two British expat gangsters, Charlie (Tamer Hassan) and Sammy (Geoff Bell).

Cast crossovers with ROTF

Direct connection

Nick Love’s The Business is the closest tonal cousin to Rise of the Footsoldier 4: Marbella. Both films deal with British criminals in Spanish exile, both involve drug deals on the Costa del Sol, both have a swimming-pool-and-Ferrari aesthetic. Marbella (2019) is almost a direct response to The Business (2005).
